What is Euro Pace

EuroPACE is an exciting Erasmus+ Sport initiative that brings students from across Europe together through a unique and inclusive event: the Digital School Sport Day (DSSD). Held during the European Week of Sport, DSSD empowers schools to organize local competitions while digitally connecting with peers internationally.

Our Goals

  • Promote healthy lifestyles and regular physical activity among youth
  • Foster cross-border collaboration through digital sports events
  • Ensure inclusion, gender equality, and accessibility in school sport
  • Innovate with a sustainable, scalable model for future school competitions

Who We’re Engaging

  • Students aged 14–18 in secondary schools across Europe
  • Teachers and school staff organizing and leading the activities
  • Local communities supporting youth engagement in sport
  • Partner schools and networks across participating countries

What We Aim to Achieve

  • Boost student motivation, confidence, and team spirit
  • Enable real-time, international score comparison through digital tools
  • Reduce environmental impact by keeping competitions local but connected
  • Offer awards and recognition for individuals and schools

Our Objectives

The EuroPACE project, through the Digital School Sport Day (DSSD), is designed to achieve
the following key objectives:

Promote physical activity

among young people as a foundation for health and well-being

Foster European cooperation

through digital sport events that connect students across borders

Enhance student engagement

in school life through accessible, inclusive, and fun competition formats

Support gender equality

and mixed-gender participation in all sports activities

Reduce environmental impact

by replacing traditional travel-based tournaments with local digital events

Leverage technology

to make school sports more interactive, measurable, and scalable

Develop digital and life skills

through participation, teamwork, and strategic thinking

Build a replicable model

of transnational sports engagement that schools can adopt independently

Increase visibility of participating schools

both locally and across Europe

Recognize excellence and participation

through structured awards and digital leaderboards
